"Amore" perchè, beh, sono così belli, colorati e profumosi.. come non amarli?
"Odio" perchè proprio non ci vado d'accordo! Quelli veri li faccio morire, se cerco di disegnarli/dipingerli mi vengono delle opere di pure astrattismo che neanche Pollock, e, ciliegina sulla torta, non sono neanche capace di farli in miniatura.. Ergo: mi serve un po' di esercizio!
Ispirata dalla bella stagione ormai alle porte (o almeno si spera, non può piovere per sempre, no?) ho voluto fare qualche tentativo.. primo esperimento: le rose! Perchè sono tra i miei fiori preferiti e perchè mi sembravano le più facili
I have a love/hate relationship with flowers. "Love" because, well, they're gorgeous, colorful and they smell so good.. "Hate" because, no matter how hard I try, I just don't work well with flowers: real flowers die immediately in my hands; if I try to draw them I end up with weird abstract things and, last but not least, I can't even make decent flowers miniatures! Clearly, I need some practice.. and the coming of spring inspired me to give miniature-flowers-making another go. My first pick were roses, partly because they're among my favourite flowers, and partly because they seemed like the easiest ones! .jpg)

Qualche giorno fa mi sono imbattuta in questo tutorial che spiega come trasformare un normale obiettivo 50mm in un obiettivo macro: basta usarlo al contrario! E' una cosa così elementare che mi sento una cretina a non averci pensato prima.. ho provato e funziona che è una meraviglia
And now for the camera trick.. this has probably been around for quite a while and photography-lovers likely already know about this, but it was news to me 
A few days ago I stumbled upon this lovely tutorial; it shows how you can turn a regular 50mm lens into a macro lens.. simply by flipping it! It's such an obvious thing that I feel quite silly for not having thought about it before. Either way, I've tested it and it works like a charm!
