A super easy DIY project: make miniature cutting boards with recycled cardstock, glue and inks. The whole process takes barely 5 minutes!

Firstly, I designed the board shape and cut it with my Silhouette cutting machine - alternatively, you can print the template and cut it by hand. You can download the template - for free! - here!

Then, I glued the cardstock layers together - I used three layers for each cutting board. I used sanding paper to even out the edges.

Finally, paint the cutting boards with a paint of your choice: acrilyc paints, Indian ink, Distress Inks, acrylic gesso... have fun experimenting! I used large, stiff brush to achieve the look of wood veins.

A little tip: cut some "lines" on the cutting board's surfaces before painting them: the ink will flow into the creases, making them stand out. The cutting board will look more "used"!
